Adult Program
Adult Tennis Options Program Descriptions Cost Privates Private lessons are the academy’s most popular tennis option among children, youth, and adults. Privates allow students and players to develop skills that match their level of play in a timely fashion. With 1:1 (player: coach) ratio and undivided attention provided by the coach in this setting, participants find it to be the best, most convenient and flexible way to improve their tennis game in their free time. In a private lesson setting the coach works together with the student on prioritizing and developing skills. •Private Lesson (1:1 ratio): $35.00 per hour •Semi-private Lesson (2:1 ratio): $40.00 per hour •Group of 3 Private Lesson (3:1 ratio): $45.00 per hour •Group of 4 Private Lesson (4:1 ratio): $50.00 per hour $35 -50/hr Drills Drills are the academy’s second most popular option among adults. Drills are based on specific skill development in a small group setting. This option is ideal for adults who wish to work on specific technical and tactical parts of their tennis game in a flexible and convenient manner. The cost is based on the number of players. Registration occurs on a weekly basis and the topic is player interest based. Drills occur in 4:1 ratio with the maximum of four participants to one coach per drill. $10/hr Group Lessons 1) Beginner 1 + 2 Beginner I+II, and Intermediate I are group based lessons that run over the course of weeks for one hour at a time. Beginner I lessons are great for adults who have taken some tennis instruction but have difficulty rallying the ball and playing the game successfully. Beginner II on the other hand will help participants develop rally skills, work on consistency and experiment with different types of spin. The beginner lessons format is 6:1 with the maximum number of six participants to one coach. 2) Intermediate 1 Building on from Beginner options above, Intermediate I lessons are a continuation of the skill development. Intermediate I lessons are a great option for adults who have taken tennis lessons and are able to rally the ball over the net 10 times, can start a point with a serve and return cross-court successfully. The player must possess some control of moving the ball side to side and hitting deep and short. This option provides players with a great opportunity to polish strokes and prepare for social league play. The intermediate lesson format is 4:1 with the maximum number of 4 participants to one coach. $49.00-$65.00/6 wks Social League Social league consists of weekly competition in either doubles or singles format. The league is recreational in nature and its main purpose is to meet people, make new friends while polishing and improving one’s playing performance.
