TENNIS IN SCHOOLS
There are two ways you can bring tennis to your school at NO cost. The Academy is certified and experienced in delivering TRY, LEARN, and PLAY Tennis programs to children in elementary schools. The goal of these programs is to provide and increase opportunities to children to try the sport and continue to play at a subsidized cost. For individuals interested in continuing participation Academy offers a set of LEARN & PLAY sessions at low costs to children in schools and communities. All Academy provided TRY, LEARN, and PLAY Tennis programs are delivered in a fun, safe, and learning environment.
TRY Tennis - (FREE School Sessions)
Option 1: "Cardio Tennis For Kids"
In the TRY Tennis component each school has two options. First option includes “Cardio Tennis for Kids”. “Cardio Tennis for Kids” provides an opportunity for children in elementary schools in western Ontario to participate. Through the program, students learn the importance of regular physical activity as a part of a healthy lifestyle. Cardio Tennis is a fun cardiovascular workout and for many students it would be their first exposure to tennis.
Option 2: "Progressive Tennis"
Second option for children in schools to TRY Tennis can be done through participation in Academy’s “Progressive Tennis” program. This program also looks to offer tennis opportunities to children in western Ontario. Its goal is to increase access to tennis at the community level allowing children the opportunity to TRY tennis for FREE and then later if desired learn to play tennis at a subsidized cost. The “Progressive Tennis” session consists of an instructional lesson to children in elementary schools to TRY tennis for FREE. It teaches kids the basic game fundamentals needed to play the sport.
